Drew Soleyn – Calmness in the Chaos of Life, Fatherhood, and Marriage

Drew Solyn’s Story

Drew Soleyn is a certified Leadership Coach, Trainer, and Speaker, as well as the President of Dad Central and the Founder of Connected Dads, a company that helps dads be their best for the people who matter the most.

Today, he joined Larry to share his story of being abducted by his father when he was three years old.  The story follows his 49-month odyssey and his mother’s legal journey to bring him back home. Drew reflects on how having this experience has shaped who he is and the necessity of sharing one’s own story.

Drew Soleyn’s story begins with his parents’ divorce when he was seven years old. His father was an alcoholic, and the divorce was the result of his father’s substance abuse. Drew was left feeling lost and abandoned. As a result, he felt like he had no one to turn to for comfort or support.

Enter his stepfather, a patient, steady man with a desire to help. Drew was able to build a trusting relationship with his stepfather by being there for him all the time and being kind.

Drew’s story is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope and a chance for redemption. It is a story of courage, resilience, and strength, and it is a story that needs to be shared.

This serves as a reminder that forgiveness and connection are key to overcoming traumatic experiences.
