He loved the team environment, the tackling, catching, throwing, learning plays…literally everything. However, he didn’t expect the level of commitment and hard work that went into the sport. Long, grueling, hot practices became the norm during the summer months. On top of the hard work, Mason wasn’t getting much playing time in the games. In fact, very little playing time at all. As the season went on for months, he found himself sitting on the bench for the majority of the games, yet, working relentlessly in practices.
